yAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cost Estimator to join a leading global engineering, project management and professional services consultancy. .Working within a growing Project Controls team, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality estimating services across major programmes and projects. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside multidisciplinary teams, supporting projects from early feasibility stages through to delivery and completion
.
Key Responsibiliti
- esLead the development and delivery of cost estimates from feasibility through to project completio
- n.Produce estimates ranging from high-level order of magnitude assessments through to detailed first-principles and bottom-up estimate
- s.Complete detailed quantity take-offs independently while supporting colleagues where require
- d.Prepare and review direct and indirect cost estimates to ensure accuracy and consistenc
- y.Develop and author Basis of Estimate documentatio
- n.Utilise market intelligence, benchmarking data and historical cost information to validate and challenge estimate
- s.Lead peer reviews and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of project deliver
- y.Support and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practic
- e.Manage stakeholder relationships across project teams, clients, engineers, designers and project manager
- s.Communicate complex commercial and technical information clearly and effectivel
- y.Contribute to business growth activities, including bids, proposals and tender submission
- s.Act as a subject matter expert within the wider Project Controls functio

Requireme
- ntsDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experien
- ce.Demonstrable experience delivering cost estimating services on major engineering, construction or infrastructure projec
- ts.Strong understanding of estimating methodologies, measurement techniques and cost planning principl
- es.Experience producing detailed cost estimates, cost breakdown structures and project cost mode
- ls.Knowledge of direct and indirect cost estimating and project deliverability assessme
- nt.Understanding of commercial and contractual principles and their impact on project cos
- ts.Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applicatio
