Senior Family Lawyer – Nottingham

We are currently working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Nottingham that is looking to appoint an experienced Family Lawyer to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a strong background in family law to join a collaborative and forward-thinking practice that handles a broad range of high-quality private family matters. The role offers genuine scope for progression, exposure to complex work, and the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the department.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload covering a range of family law matters, including:

• Divorce and separation.
• Financial remedy proceedings, including high-value and complex asset cases.
• Private children matters.
• Cohabitation and property disputes.
• Pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
• Protective and injunctive applications.
• Matters with international elements where required.

You will work closely with senior members of the team while maintaining responsibility for your own caseload and building strong relationships with clients. There will also be opportunities to become involved in networking, business development activities, and the wider growth of the department.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor (England), Legal Executive or equivalent.
• Right to work in the UK
• Strong experience in family law matters.
• Experience managing your own caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and client care skills.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to support junior colleagues where appropriate.
